Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I find you?c

On Tuesdays and Fridays you'll find me at Enso Healing Rooms (190 Cheltenham Road). If you are travelling by bus, services 70, 71, 73, 75 and 76 both north and southbound will drop you off just outside. It is also a 5 minute walk (down Station Road and turn left) away from Montpelier train station which is on the Temple Meads to Avonmouth route with regular services throughout the day.

On Thursdays I'm at Bristol College of Massage & Bodywork (109 Pembroke Road). If you are travelling by bus, the 8 and 9 bus services runs from the city centre through Clifton with a bus stop right outside the building. The college is also a 10 minute walk away from Clifton Down train station, which is also on the Temple Meads to Avonmouth service.

  • Where can I park my car?

Enso Healing Rooms has 2 parking spaces behind the building, accessible via Cheltenham Lane. If these spaces are full, you can also park on the main road, Cheltenham Road, on any of the single yellow lines between 10:00am and 4:00pm and from 6:30pm onwards and pay using the meter on the pavement. It is not advisable to park outside of these times as the council will remove the vehicle to free the bus lanes. There are also parking available on Station Road at the same price.

Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork - the roads surrounding the college are restricted to permit holders or pay & display. BCMB has a few parking permits (zone CV) which you are welcome to use if one is available. If not then you must pay at a meter which costs £1 per hour for a maximum stay of 5 hours. Parking is free after 5pm.

  • Can I lock my bike up?

Both BCMB and Enso have bike racks for you to lock your bike to, either at the front or rear of the building.

  • How can I buy a block of massages?

You can save money by buying a block of massages. You can either buy a block of 4 for £180 (making it £45 per hour) or a block of 6 for £260 (making it £43.33 per hour). Once you have purchased a block, you can book the appointments that suit you using the 'pay in person' option on the booking page. You can also share the block with a partner or friend so you both save money! If you would like to buy a block, just send me an email and I will reply with my bank details.

  • Can I have a massage if I am pregnant?

Yes, absolutely! Please book as usual and leave me a a message to let me know the stage of your pregnancy and I will be in touch shortly after.

  • What should I wear?

It is best to wear comfortable clothes so that you don't feel too restricted after your massage. During the massage, you can undress to the level that you're comfortable with. You will be covered with a drape at all times, and I will uncover the areas I am working on. If you are wearing jewellery I will ask you to remove items during the massage so that they don't get caught.

  • What oil do you use?

I use unscented grapeseed oil or Biotone Advanced Therapy Gel (a mixture of grapeseed, apricot and sesame oil). These are both hypoallergenic but please let me know if you have any skin allergies so I can check ingredients.

  • Do you provide sexual massage?

No, sexual massage is not a service I provide.

  • What music do you use?

I will normally play a playlist of classical and ambient music that I have collated over the past few years. If you would like to listen to anything else that is available on Spotify then feel free to let me know - it's always nice to get more music recommendations!

  • I work for the NHS, how do I claim 10% off?

It's not much but I offer a 10% discount to NHS workers as a small way of showing my appreciation for all that you do! (Especially in the last year!). You can claim 10% off by either adding the code 'NHS10' during the checkout process (there's an option to add a coupon code on the booking form) or just mention it in the 'Add your message' box if you'd prefer to pay in person.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

As always, your health and wellbeing is very important to me so I thought I'd let you know what I'm doing to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19):

  • I will be following guidance from Massage Training Institute to ensure your safety as best I can. Please read this Client Information Pack which highlights new protocols that I will be following

  • I will continue to use disposable paper towel to cover the table and face cradle which is replaced for each massage

  • I will disinfect surfaces and door handles when I enter the workplace, between massages and again before I leave the workplace

  • I will wash my hands when entering the venue, before and after each massage and before I leave the venue

  • If I am feeling unwell or if I am worried that I may be infected, I will cancel appointments and endeavour to rebook them when I am sure I am well and non-infectious

  • If you are feeling unwell (persistent cough, fever, headache, sneezing etc) or worried that you've come into contact with the virus please do not hesitate to contact me by text or email. I will then cancel and rebook your appointment, waiving my normal cancellation fee until further notice

  • If you have had a Covid-19 vaccine, please leave 7 days before scheduling a massage in order to allow you body to deal with any potential side effects.
